Earth rammer can compact thicker layers of non-cohesive and semi-cohesive soils and maximum proctor density ( 95% to 98% ) are achieved in less numbers of passes. It is used for compaction of earth, soil, foundations, trenches, roads, canal beds, embankments, approach roads.
